We are one of the first public accounting firms in the world to only serve the Cannabis industry. We currently serve over 250 cannabis clients throughout the United States and continue to experience a significant increase in revenues as the Cannabis industry is growing exponentially each year throughout the US.

Primary Purpose:

BGM seeking an entrepreneurial, creative, enthusiastic and team-oriented Seasonal Preparer to join our organization for the 2020 Tax Season (mid-February 2020 through mid-April 2020). You will prepare income tax returns, including individuals, corporations and partnerships for a variety of clients. Associates regularly collaborate with partners and managers to provide outstanding client service.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Proficiently prepare tax returns
  • Formulate and deliver innovative tax planning, strategy and client service
  • Identify and capitalize on business opportunities with our current client base and network to attract new clients to the firm
  • Maintain active communications with clients to develop longstanding business relationships, manage expectations, safeguard satisfaction and ensure deadlines are met
  • Work in a variety of industries including: real estate, construction, hospitality, manufacturing, distribution, not-for-profit and financial services
  • Advance your expertise in tax matters through continued education and research
  • Complete research and special projects as needed

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with a minimum of a 3.0 GPA
  • Minimum 1-2 years of tax and public accounting experience
  • Current CPA or demonstrated progress towards obtaining CPA certification
  • An accounting internship experience preferred
  • Strong computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office programs
  • Experience with accounting software a plus
  • High level of organization, focus, exceptional attention to detail, and strong follow-up skills
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Willingness to take supervision and guidance
  • Team management skills – the ability to coach, motivate, and direct a team of people
  • Team player with a positive “can-do” attitude
  • Creative problem-solving ability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in the delivery of quality client service
